One Pot, Quick and Cleaned-Up, Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

2 c milk

2 c water

3 Tb butter

14oz dried pasta (large elbow macaroni was my pick!)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

2 c mild cheddar, shredded (needs to be freshly shredded IMO otherwise the sauce gets lumpy and gritty)

Instructions

In a medium pot bring the milk, water, and butter to a boil. Stir in the macaroni and salt. Cook on medium low, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 mins, or until the noodles are just shy of el dente. Turn off the heat and stir in the pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cheddar. Stir to combine.
