Egg Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

1 lb ground sausage

6 slices of soft white bread, crusts removed

8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

8 large eggs

2 c whole milk

1 tsp dry mustard

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

Nonstick Cooking Spray

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350º. Spray a 13x 9 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Preheat a large skillet to medium high heat. Cook the sausage, stirring frequently, until browned and crumbled. Drain on a paper towel, and set aside.

Arrange the bread in a single layer on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with the sausage and shredded cheese.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mustard, salt, paprika and pepper; carefully pour the mixture over the cheese.

Bake casserole until set and golden, about 40 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
